Booking the wrong one wastes money or leaves you disappointed. A straightforward way to tell which service your property actually calls for.
People often book a regular clean, then feel let down because the shower grout still looks tired. The service was not wrong, it was just the wrong one for the condition of the property.
Regular cleaning maintains
A regular clean keeps an already-clean home in that condition. Surfaces, floors, kitchen and bathrooms, dusting and general tidying, on a repeating schedule. It is efficient because it is not fighting built-up grime.
Deep cleaning resets
A deep clean addresses what accumulates over months: grout and tile, inside appliances, behind and under furniture, baseboards, door frames, window tracks, vents and light fixtures. It takes considerably longer and costs more, because it is doing work that has not been done in a while.
Choose a deep clean if
- It has been more than three or four months since a thorough clean
- You are moving in or out, or preparing a rental turnover
- You are starting a recurring service for the first time
- There is visible buildup in grout, on tracks or around fixtures
- The property sat empty, or work was done in it recently
The usual pattern that works well: one deep clean to reset the property, then regular cleans to hold it there. That is almost always cheaper over a year than repeated deep cleans, because nothing gets the chance to build up again.
